Talent Trade Tidbit - R&R: Not An Option

Today I wanna talk to you about a subject, especially this time of the year as we head into the holidays and hopefully a little time off.

For a lot of folks, they look so forward to this time because of the r and r, the rest and relaxation.

However, for so many of us, we have started treating r and r like it's an option and not mandatory.

And I know who you are because when I talk to you in January, I hear it in your voice.

You are burnt out, you are frustrated, you are looking for greener grass, and all of these things could have been solved if you had really treated.

The time off for what it's supposed to be.

Yes, I know the holidays are crazy and we try to cram so much in family fun food, all of these things and, and I love the holidays and those are the things I love about the holidays.

I wanna kill myself to be with my family.

I wanna travel so I can have that, you know, one good day together where we laugh and you know, get silly and drink too much and talk about the old times and fun things like that.

But I also know if I don't build in.

Some rest and relaxation.

I come back a bear and it takes me all the way to spring break.

To get any reprieve.

So let me encourage you, beg you, please, this holiday season as you think about what they're gonna look like, what your schedule's gonna be, how much time you're gonna take off, what you're gonna do with the time off, let me strongly encourage you to build in some r and r.

It is no longer an option, but rather a requirement.
